Integral Pivot

All Atlantech instruments include a unique “Intregral Pivot” hinge system, removing the need for small pins. The Integral Pivot gives the mechanism great strength, enabling unique jaw designs, which cut perfectly every time.

Double Tooth

The proprietary Atlantech “Double Tooth” affords the surgeon the most advanced meniscal cutting jaws available today on an arthroscopic instrument. The double tooth restrains tissue as soon as the jaw begins to close, preventing the “push away” effect common to other arthroscopic instruments. The profile of the double toothed upper jaw also effectively increases the “gape” of the jaw without increasing the opening height. This is particularly useful in tighter areas of the joint.

Precision Cutting Edges

Special attention is paid to the cutting edges on Atlantech devices. Our engineers use magnifying optics, high-speed felt polishing wheels and fine diamond polishing compound. The result is the finest cutting edge on instruments, which we are happy to warranty for life.

Ergonomic Handle

The specially designed ergonomic finger loops allow you to use Atlantech instruments with maximum control and comfort, no matter which style of grip is preferred. The large pear-shaped back loop allows maximum surface contact between thumb and instrument when used traditionally, while allowing maximum contact between hand and instrument when the instrument is “palmed”.

Trigger Locking Mechanism

The unique Selective Cam Lock of the Atlantech graspers allows you to apply a ratchet when you need it, and gives you freedom of control when you don’t. In contrast, automatic ratchets have to be released every time the jaws need to be re-opened, often resulting in the loss of the loose or foreign body that needs retrieving.
