ArthroCare Technologies Featured at ISAKOS

ArthroCare Sports Medicine to Present Live Surgical Demonstration, Surgical Workshops and Series of Lectures at International Congress

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2007--ArthroCare® Corp. (Nasdaq:ARTC) announced today that it will present a live surgical demonstration and collection of workshops and lectures from May 27 - 31 at this year's 6th Biennial ISAKOS Congress, in Florence, Italy.

Focused on advancing the worldwide exchange and dissemination of education, research and patient care in sports medicine and arthroscopy, the ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine) Congress in its sixth year has fast become one of the preeminent gatherings of surgeons internationally.

Among the anticipated highlights of this year's Congress is the scheduled May 28th live surgical demonstration of ArthroCare's OPUS(R) System that makes minimally invasive labrum and rotator cuff repair a reality for almost any shoulder injury. The totally arthroscopic procedure, done through just a few small nicks in the skin, will be performed by John Uribe, MD of the University of Miami School of Medicine. Uribe will also be joined Wednesday May 30th by James Tasto, MD of San Diego, California; Mark Haber, MD of Australia; and Gunter Spahn, MD of Germany for a series of workshops on ArthroCare's innovative arthroscopic and radiofrequency technologies.

Among the topics being discussed at the Congress will be ArthroCare's Topaz Microdebrider; and new double row techniques for rotator cuff repair made possible by surgeons utilizing the company's Opus AutoCuff system.

Tasto, Spahn and Andre Weimann, MD of Germany will also be presenting a series of lectures throughout the week focused on ArthroCare technologies.

"It's rewarding to be given the opportunity to demonstrate the sound science and innovative processes behind our technologies at such a far-reaching event," said Jack Giroux, President of ArthroCare Sports Medicine. "One of the nice things about ISAKOS as a group is that they constantly seek out the latest breakthroughs specific to arthroscopic and sports medicine procedures and work to spread the word of these technologies on a global level. That our Opus and Topaz technologies are generating such interest at this year's event is a strong indication of just how special these technologies are."
